Can we start getting some examples of these comments? Can someone provide the link of the game summary on US Soccer that shows playing down?!? It’s easy to provide proof. Same with the HS waiver for RB players. No one provided when asked a couple months ago. Just because you say it doesn’t make it so. Provide some proof which is easily available with transparency of game rosters.
My kid does not play for PDA. This communication is not intended to express animosity towards a specific club. Who cares what PDA does or other academies? I agree that public school players pose a credible argument whether they should play academy. Private schools should be exempt as most if not all players receive aid. These kids are fortunate to get quality educations which at the end of the day is what matters most.

Uffe, say something good? Did I say something bad? Who am I bragging about? I have no interest in any of those teams whatsoever. Changing age rules amkes no difference development wise on its own. You have younger players playing with older right now. Same with good and not so good. All that changes is you take everything back 6 months. For our system here of development its actually better to keep age groups as is. That way a top 00 that is born between January and July gets to compete vs 99’s born August through december. Under new rules that top 00 will have to play vs inferior 00’s. In USA we would rather win than push that top 00′ up an age group to 99. Will be even tough for that 00′ to play up because he would also have to play vs older 99’s. In USA we are not about that. We want to be ranked top team in the nation.
In order to perform an objective analysis of your child’s performance, it is important to understand the difference between technical abilities and tactical understanding. Technical ability refers to the soccer skills used by individual players such as dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, heading, tackling, and juggling. Knowing where to be on the field based on game conditions requires tactical comprehension.

how long does a u12 soccer game lastOSA provides information on the small-sided games available for young players. Going back to my obsession with baseball stats, planning my shifts allowed me to carefully track where each player was playing, for how long, and how often. If I made my substitutions at a time other than what my match plan said (usually only a minute or two difference based on when the subs were actually called in), I would simply note that change. After each game, I’d log the minutes in a spreadsheet.
Each Academy team plays approximately 16-30 games, including 6-9 games played at Showcases. Teams that advance from the Academy Playoffs could expect to play up to additional 3 games. When bringing a player from our club’s recreational or developmental program into the Youth Academy (U8-U11), a big part of their learning curve is gaining a more tactical understanding of a soccer game. Tactics can easily become overwhelming for an 8-10 year old, and understanding basic principles of play is the first step in helping them feel in control of the game. By definition, the principles of play are – providing pressure on the ball, cover, balance in attack and defense, creating height, width and depth, etc.
Jackson Atletico U18B (1999) is looking to add at least 3 committed players to round out our roster and who can demonstrate consistent play at the EDP level. This team is run as a friends team. The parent manager makes all the calls on who plays, the coach is just a puppet. Your son will be warming the bench the whole game, lucky if he gets 5 minutes play time in a 90 minute game.
Important Issue here. College coach keeps sending my sons DA coach an email to get some feedback on sons playing ability. Sadly, we have not been told anything from our coach that he has been contacted. Makes me worried that other coaches may be contacting our club and we aren’t hearing about it. Could somebody tell me how their DA players get informed by their club and coach.
